No sooner had Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement than the panic, caterwauling and pearl clutching ramped up to absurd heights in about a nanosecond. The Democrats’ hysterical ravings over the potential nominee hit about four main themes. 

A. Whomever Trump nominates will immediately overturn Roe V Wade!

One can convincingly argue that Democrats and media are the ones responsible for the current spectacle.  Just ask Chuck Schumer. Today he is utterly convinced that women will be forced back into the kitchen to make Sammies. Oh. The. Horror.

Of the 23 names on the list, speculation has narrowed it down to four. 

According to reports, four names are at the top of Trump’s list: Amy Coney Barrett, Thomas Hardiman, Brett Kavanaugh and Raymond Kethledge. Whoever gets the nod will be subject to an epic trashing and intrusive investigation. It will be quite a spectacle. The most important thing to remember about the nominee is that one millisecond after this person is confirmed to the court, Roe v. Wade will be overturned and women will have to conduct their own abortions in back alleys with hangers and unsanitary blunt instruments. True story.

Pretty much. Especially since the Democrats and media (same thing basically) just can’t stop wringing their hands and uttering drivel such as ‘if Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed Brown Vs Board would be overturned!’

I told you! It’s ridiculous! But it’s also quite an entertaining show and with President Trump’s announcement that Brett Kavenaugh is his choice, the #RESISTANCE! show has immediately gone into hyperdrive.

Brett Kavanaugh has quite the bio:

No one else on the president’s current list can rival Kavanaugh for Washington credentials. He was even born in Washington, where his mother was a public-school teacher, on February 12, 1965. Martha Kavanaugh went on to become a prosecutor and later state judge in Maryland, where Kavanaugh was raised and where, like Justice Neil Gorsuch, he attended Georgetown Preparatory School. After graduating from Yale College in 1987 and Yale Law School in 1990, Kavanaugh spent two years as a law clerk, for Judge Walter Stapleton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He followed a one-year fellowship in the office of U.S. Solicitor General Kenneth Starr with a clerkship for Justice Anthony Kennedy during October Term 1993. Kavanaugh went on to join Starr at the Office of the Independent Counsel, where Kavanaugh led the investigation into the death of Vince Foster, an aide to President Bill Clinton, and helped write the 1998 Starr Report to Congress, which outlined 11 grounds for Clinton’s impeachment. Kavanaugh was later a partner at the law firm Kirkland & Ellis, where he specialized in appellate law. He moved to the White House after President George W. Bush was elected and worked in the West Wing for five years, first as a counsel to the president and then as staff secretary to the president.

In the coming days and weeks, there will be two different Supreme Court shows happening. On one side there will be thoughtful opinion pieces written regarding the merits of President Trump’s choice. On the other side we’ll see some megaton rutabaga DERP!

Stock up on a semi load of popcorn and the adult beverage of your choice folks. This show will be one for the books.

This is just one more reason why we are glad Hillary is not President.
