Remember When Obama, Ben Rhodes, And Susan Rice Thought Bowe Bergdahl Was A Hero? [VIDEO]

Today was the day for Bowe Bergdahl to face up to the consequences of his choices and actions.

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl told a military judge on Monday that he’s pleading guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

“I understand that leaving was against the law,” said Bergdahl, whose decision to walk off his remote post in Afghanistan in 2009 prompted intense search and recovery missions, during which some of his comrades were seriously wounded.

“At the time, I had no intention of causing search and recovery operations,” Bergdahl said, but he added that now he does understand that his decision prompted efforts to find him.

The desertion charge carries a five year sentence. However, the misbehavior charge means Bergdahl could receive the maximum sentence of life in prison. The sentencing portion of this trial will be very interesting as military courts allow evidence and testimony to be presented during that time. Which potentially means that the prosecution could present testimony and evidence regarding the search efforts and information regarding the soldiers killed by the Taliban while trying to find his cowardly little butt.

I’m sure the defense will try to claim he was just misunderstood. I’m sure the defense will claim that waltzing off post was just a misguided attempt to let the chain of command know there were problems and that he’s a victim because TRUMP! Marta succinctly explains why he’s definitely NOT a victim here.

Meanwhile, where are all of Bowe Bergdahl’s supporters? Obama all but did a happy dance in the Rose Garden when announcing his release.

Not only that, but we exchanged, actually OBAMA exchanged, five major Taliban officials for Bergdahl’s release. These guys.

  • Khairkhwa—the founding member of the Taliban and confidant of Mullah Omar
  • Fazl—the former defense minister and commander of all Taliban troops in Northern Afghanistan during September 2001
  • Wasiq—the former deputy minister of intelligence for the Taliban
  • Omari—a high-level Taliban security official
  • Noori—a Taliban governor of the Balkh province

Furthermore, Obama released the Taliban 5 without giving Congress 30 days notice like he was supposed to! But yeah, let’s do a happy dance and give hugs to his folks in the Rose Garden.

Where is Obama now? Is he supporting Bergdahl? NOPE. The swap of Taliban for Bergdahl was ALWAYS about closing GITMO, it was never about Bergdahl himself. He was just a useful pawn for Obama.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) had this to say when Bergdahl’s release was announced:

So Murphy thought Bergdahl was so super awesome and heroic that he’s continued to stand with him…right? Yeah. No. Silence, deafening silence, is the order of the day.

This was Susan Rice’s reaction to the news of Bergdahl’s release:

“Honor and Distinction??!!” Excuse me while I go throw up now. Oh, but that’s not all.

AWWWWW! So sweet! BARF. Think she’ll attend the sentencing hearing in support of cute little Bowe? Yeah…NO.

How about Ben Rhodes?

Well, Ben, the optics on that little stunt get worse by the hour. But do you have anything to say in Bergdahl’s defense now? Well, no, you’re too busy whining about Trump putting the kibosh on your super craptastic Iran Deal!

I’d say that sounds about right.

The only heroes who served with “Honor and Distinction” throughout this entire mess have been the soldiers who were tasked with searching for his whiny little butt, and the soldiers who died during that process.

Bergdahl was championed by Obama, Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, Senator Chris Murphy and many other Democrats after he was released. Yet now that the narrative shows that Bergdahl really did walk off post in a fit of temper, really did get himself captured, and darn well knew what he was doing was wrong, those “champions” have run for the hills. With friends like these…

And don’t forget how his parents praised Allah at the Rose Garden dog and pony show. All that was missing were prayer rugs and a compass to point them toward Mecca.
