Quote of the Day

Quote of the Day

Just a sample of Michelle’s column this week; make sure to read the rest.

Come on, who’s surprised? The White House-engineered photo-op of low-flying Air Force aircraft that caused terror in New York City this week epitomizes the Age of Obama. What better way to mark 100 days in office than with an appalling exercise in pointless, taxpayer-funded stagecraft.

The superficiality, the unseriousness, the hubris, the obliviousness to post-9/11 realities: They were trademarks of the Obama campaign and they are the tattoos on his governance.

He never leaves home without his teleprompter. All the Obama world’s a stage. Or a world ready to be staged.

So, is it any wonder he would staff his White House Military Office with a clueless paper-pusher who saw nothing wrong with spending inordinate government resources – and recreating 9/11 havoc — to update Air Force One publicity shots? And who planned, believe it or not, to do the same in Washington, D.C., next month, where 53 passengers and 6 crew members on board American Airlines Flight 77, and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the Pentagon were murdered by the 9/11 jihadists?

All for some damned publicity shots.

Wait, but it is ok since he did not know about the planned photo op right? I am sure the formal investigation will be well spent tax dollars.

I have to wonder why have “publicity” shots of the Presidents plane. Is it so the Jihadists know EXACTLY what to aim at? Sheesh, the stupidity baffles the mind until I remember who is behind all this. Is it 2012 yet?

And as if by magic, the usual suspects in traditionally progressive “news” outlets dropped pursuit of
criticizing previous, and ultimately, present, Executive Branch approaches in answering (foreign, at least)terrorist behavior toward
the dense, and predominately Democrat/Left, population in
    The US.

It’s not as if the majority of the currently installed Legislative Branch could have come up with “Lest We Forget…”.

    Just sayin’

    Well said Michelle.

I really doubt there is enough identifying info in those pictures to make a difference where safety is concerned. We’ve had “publicity” photos of things like this for a long time (these were an “update”, not something “new”). The only problem is the fact that the flyover was done low over NYC, instead of doing it over some artillery range or military base, then adding the planes into scenes of NYC via Photoshop or whatever other image editing software someone wanted to use.

Isn’t the office typically headed by a general or an admiral? Seems a bit – obama-ish – to staff it w/ a civvie…

  • Mark says:

Am I the only one that gets the feeling that the Obamas and their ilk are like a bunch of rubes visiting the big city for the first time, turning light switches on and off while marveling at the sight. “Gee willickers, it sez here dat we can do anythin’ we wants. Lets take dat big flyin’ jalopy to New Yawk.”

“Photoshop…ain’t dat when you buy film?”
