New York Times Writes Fake News Story About Trump And Israeli Settlements [VIDEO]

Tell me again why we should trust the media? In recent weeks I’ve definitely learned not to take any story published by the mainstream media at face value. Why? Because either the story is completely debunked (even though they refuse to take it down), they sneak changes in and hope no one’s looking, or they put stuff out there in hopes of continuing the negativity towards the GOP and President Trump specifically. Case in point? The headline on this story from the New York Times:

Trump Embraces Pillars of Obama’s Foreign Policy

Guess what?? That’s not the ORIGINAL headline! Thanks to our friends over at Legal Insurrection, we have a screen shot of the original one.

The original headline says Trump TOLD Israel what to do?? Hmmm, so why the sneaky change?? Perhaps because their narrative concerning President Trump supposedly ordering Israel to cancel all settlements fell apart? No, that can’t be it? Can it? Why yes, yes it is. Take a look at this statement from the White House.

“The American desire for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians has remained unchanged for 50 years. While we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace, the construction of new settlements or the expansion of existing settlements beyond their current borders may not be helpful in achieving that goal. As the President has expressed many times, he hopes to achieve peace throughout the Middle East region. The Trump administration has not taken an official position on settlement activity and looks forward to continuing discussions, including with Prime Minister Netanyahu when he visits with President Trump later this month.” [Emphasis Added]

Notice anything? That’s correct. You’d have to look long and hard, and  redefine some words to turn any of that into an order!

Quite a few people grasped that what the Trump Administration said was good stuff and the NY Times reporting was a big nothing burger. Some of those are strong skeptics of Trump himself.

Keep in mind folks, amidst all the breathless reporting the key to the statement is the fact that the U.S. suggested that Israel may want to slow their roll on the NEW settlements as that may not help any current and future potential talks between Israel and Palestine.

You can bet the media is just salivating at the prospect of fireworks when Prime Minister Netanyahu visits next month. And this is just one of their opening salvos to entice the fireworks. Problem for the media is, they want to drive a wedge between the two countries, and they will do it by any means necessary. Even if they beclown themselves with their lack of reading comprehension.

The New York Times, hurting for dollars and credibility, seems to feel that putting out false and misleading stories is the way to regain their footing. It keeps backfiring on them. One of these days you’d think they’d get a clue. Unfortunately for them, that day hasn’t arrived.
