#NeverAgain this means you Chechnya

Dear Chechnya: when we said#NeverAgain, we meant it. Why is this an issue? The government/dictatorship endorsed honor killing as a family value. If mom and dad and the uncles and siblings can’t quite bring themselves to murder their loved one who is gay? Well the government will arrest them and send them to a camp where they will be tortured and likely killed without anyone noticing. Easy Peasy. My family values say this is despicable. And my family and faith have issues with the idea of rounding up and killing anyone who fits a demographic. And to the LGBT community, this is a perfect time to speak up and speak out.

This is what the New York Times said is happening:

First, two television reporters vanished. Then a waiter went missing. Over the past week, men ranging in age from 16 to 50 have disappeared from the streets of Chechnya.

These men were not kidnapped by random strangers, but were targeted by their government.

No this is not Godwin’s law. These are state-run concentration camps. And it gets worse.

From the Toronto Sun we find this:

A report by Novoya Gazeta said officials in the dictatorship have told homosexuals if they don’t leave the country they’ll be sent to the camps where they will be killed.

Gee this sounds familiar. Sent to the camps where they will be killed. And there is more from CNN here:

A spokesman for the Chechen government, Alvi Karimov, told the Russian news agency Interfax that the story in Novaya Gazeta was “an absolute lie.” But Karimov’s fuller explanation underlined the deeply conservative and intolerant views of the republic’s leadership. “You can’t detain and harass someone who doesn’t exist in the republic,” he said. “If there were such people in the Chechen republic, law enforcement wouldn’t have a problem with them because their relatives would send them to a place of no return.”

Speaking for the government. Someone who does not exist in the republic? Really?

Karimov appears to have been talking about so-called “honor killings” or the murders of people who offended social conventions by their own families.

Isn’t that precious? Note this is the government condoning and approving both honor killings and something that in the U.S. would fall under “hate crimes” really easily.

Family values

Chechen Family values are special, all right. Like the child killers in Beslan? Or the Boston bombers? No thanks. I will take my family where my aunts and uncles love their kids and grandkids who are any number of things including LGBT. And as you can guess, Twitter is not being silent:

During this Passover and Easter season it is appropriate to think about freedom from slavery and victory over sin and death. #NeverAgain should be more than a throwaway slogan.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, that is the doctrine the Left lives by. So what if Muslims are intolerant of homosexuality they are the enemy of the United States the Left wants to ‘fundamentally’ change and thus the Left’s friend.

Human Rights issue. Of course the cognitive dissonance will make heads explode. And it will be interesting to see if the left responds to this. And how.

Socialists, communists and others wishing to fundamentally transform a country are first only interested in taking power. There are usually many useful idiots among Progressives who will help them, without asking what will be imposed. They, also, make temporary alliances with others who, also, want to overthrow the established order. Once power is taken, the real blood bath begins. Except for the top elites (who are killed, as examples), the rest of the old order is re-educated and allowed to swear new allegiance. However, the other groups, leaders and followers, must be exterminated. This happened in France, Russia (USSR), Nazi Germany, China, The Islamic Republic of Iran, etc. For example, when Hitler took power, it was OK to be a Social Democrat (as their votes were needed for the coalition that initially put him in power) or a homosexual. Later, the SD leaders were sent to concentration camps and the underlings were given a chance to change allegiance or follow their leaders. Homosexuals and “other deviants” were rounded up a couple of years later during The Night of the Long Knives, and sent to labor/death camps. The patterns the American leftist are following are historical patterns. The main differences in the U.S. are the Second Amendment and our tradition of individual rights, and the limits they impose on government power.

Chechnya is 99% Muslim. Where is the outrage from the Left over rounding up gays and sending them to Concentration Camps where they will be tortured and killed? Oh, that’s right: they’re afraid to criticize Islam. Christianity is a much safer target.

    #NeverAgain means just that.
