NAACP award recipient indulges in a little racism herself

The NAACP has been condemning the Tea Party movement as racist. Unsurprising from the organization that labels black conservatives Uncle Toms, when you think about it. But surely an organization like the NAACP wouldn’t endorse racist individuals while smearing Americans as racists, right?

Well, as Andrew Breitbart found, that’s exactly what they’ve done.

Meet Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development.

We are in possession of a video from in which Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development, speaks at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia. In her meandering speech to what appears to be an all-black audience, this federally appointed executive bureaucrat lays out in stark detail, that her federal duties are managed through the prism of race and class distinctions.

In the first video, Sherrod describes how she racially discriminates against a white farmer. She describes how she is torn over how much she will choose to help him. And, she admits that she doesn’t do everything she can for him, because he is white. Eventually, her basic humanity informs that this white man is poor and needs help. But she decides that he should get help from “one of his own kind”. She refers him to a white lawyer.

Sherrod’s racist tale is received by the NAACP audience with nodding approval and murmurs of recognition and agreement. Hardly the behavior of the group now holding itself up as the supreme judge of another groups’ racial tolerance.

But Sherrod wasn’t finished yet.

Sherrod has resigned over the tapes already, and good riddance. But the NAACP would never have condemned her for these remarks had Andrew Breitbart not exposed these tapes. They’re too busy calling Tea Partiers racists, even though tea party demographics actually mirror the demographics of America at large.

The phrase “people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” is for some reason reverberating through my head right now.

    Resigned, no doubt, under pressure.

Resigned, no doubt, with a federal pension.

Resigned, no doubt, with a job offer readily available from somebody in that room.

I hope that farmer files a civil suit against her for the entire amount of her pension. In a just world, she’d be arrested for a civil rights violation, but the Obama JustUs Department is too busy not indicting Black Panthers to get to this case.

Not only is the NAACP racist. Try DiversityInc.com. From FoxNews.com:

A management consultant on Monday stood by remarks over the weekend in which he compared black Tea Party activists to Jewish guards in Nazi concentration camps, telling FoxNews.com there are “turncoats” in every group.
Luke Visconti, owner of DiversityInc, first said on CNN that Tea Party leaders are “leveraging racism” and that they have risen to power with an “anti-black Obama” message.

When the anchor noted that black members are active in the conservative movement, Visconti responded: “There were Jewish concentration guard camps. Weren’t there?”

Reached Monday, Visconti elaborated. He said his point was that “there are people in every group no matter what is being done to them that will side with the people that are doing the injustice.”

  • The whole Sherrod thing was a hoax. Way to miss the memo, though.
