“Mi Sueno, Tu Voto”: Hillary Clinton Panders to Hispanic Voters By Channeling The DREAMer Voice

We’ve seen it all in the game of politics and knew that it was only a matter of time before the Hillary Clinton campaign pulled out this card. Hillary has drafted the “Dreamers” to campaign for the ticket.

This past weekend, Clinton’s campaign introduced “Mi Sueno, Tu Voto” (My Dream, Your Vote)” this past weekend to encourage the children of undocumented citizens to be the “voice” of the campaign and to drive the Hispanic vote. The Democratic National Convention made this statement yesterday with regard to Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) and its fourth anniversary:

“Hillary Clinton is committed to introducing immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship within her first 100 days in office and she will continue defending DACA and DAPA from partisan attacks.”

While illegal immigrants are not legally permitted to vote The effort wants illegal immigrants to ask for commitments from “their community” to vote for Clinton in November.

In thinking about the campaign, it is a clever counter-attack to the rhetoric of Trump’s claims to “build the wall” but whose DREAM is it really?

While the desperate pandering on behalf of the Clinton campaign stoops to new lows, the arguments railing against Conservative points of view will continue. I am going to go out on a limb here and probably sound like the bigoted racist that I am by asking this question but here it goes anyway–what about those who came into this country legally? What about those on the legal path to citizenship filing the appropriate paperwork, work visas and not taking from the system? What about the fact that there is an average of $5,692 in federal welfare benefits every year granted to illegal immigrants while legal citizens and those on the path to citizenship try to go about their every day life the honest, American way? Remember Mayte Lara, the undocumented college student who got a free ride and bragged about it back in June? Yes, these are the some of the people campaigning for Hillary Clinton! You may say that she is a DREAMer (by definition)…and she’s not the only one.

I guess I need to be fair in my “judgmental” attitude. After all, if my parents came into this country undocumented and received welfare benefits which guaranteed that I ate as a youngster and I got a free ride at my college of choice and told from an early age that I can stay here and become whatever I wanted to be and that the world was my oyster, I would also be stumping for the political party who makes it all happen and not have any idea that what my folks did was illegal and that I was part of the cycle of illegal activity. But it’s just like a Clinton to encourage these dreamy-eyed kiddos to turn a blind eye, to blur the lines and perpetuate a cycle of illegal activity, isn’t it? And she’s not above tugging at the heartstrings of those loved ones of the undocumented to do it. After all, the Hispanic vote is the Hispanic vote in the eyes of the Clinton race for The White house…legally or illegally…what difference does it make, right?
