Because Representative Maxine Waters (D-Watts) and talking head Bill O’Reilly present a picture of what is wrong with America and why we can’t get out of our own way.

It is now the 21st century and gasbag talking head Bill O’Reilly and the galactically moronic Representative Maxine Waters assault our intelligence through the thermosphere. Maxine Waters, the female Al Sharpton, believes that Bill O’Reilly should be in jail for sexually assaulting women. As she said on MSNBC:

Has Bill O’Reilly sexually assaulted women. I hope not. Victory Girls’ great Kim Quade wrote about the advertisers abandoning him. I don’t like him for his bombastic/man of the people style. It grates. AMNewYork posted a fairly-reported and factual article by Lauren Cook, which I recommend. From the article:

The accusers were all women who either worked directly for O’Reilly or who appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor,” according to the Times. Complaints included verbal abuse, unwanted advances and lewd comments, the paper said, citing documents and interviews.
Of the five settlements, four were over alleged sexual harassment and the fifth was a producer who claimed O’Reilly verbally abused her in front of newsroom staff, according to The Times.

I believe Mr. O’Reilly is what used to be called a lout.

And, then there is Maxine Waters. Oof! Today is the 25th anniversary of the L.A. riots. The riots began after the acquittals of the police in the Rodney King trial. In an article on race relations for the American Spectator, Robert Zapesochny begins:

On her best days, Congresswoman Maxine Waters is just a hypocrite. On a normal day, she is a national disgrace. Maxine Waters didn’t hesitate to call the Trump administration “a bunch of scumbags.”

While Congresswoman Maxine Waters can condemn the Trump administration, falsely accuse the CIA of bringing drugs into Los Angeles, and even tell the Tea Party to go “straight to hell,” she refused to condemn the scumbags who killed 55 people and injured 2,000 people during the 1992 L.A. Riots.

Congresswoman Waters at the time said, “If you call it a riot, it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.”

Yes. The L.A. gang, the Crips, were just having a small rebellion. Tell that to Reginald Denny:

I would like to make note that Miss Waters has not condemned Bill Cosby, former President Bill Clinton or the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

Maxine Waters is an opportunistic loudmouth. Bill O’Reilly is an opportunistic loudmouth. They are meant to be together. They are also prima facie evidence of what is wrong with this country. I think it is past time for both of them to retire. They could go to the same nursing home and harass each other.
