As families mourn the loss of their loved ones who were brutally killed by a terrorist at Manchester Arena Monday night, British authorities have ramped up the threat level to critical.

Significant changes in response to the increased threat level are taking place in London and across the UK.

Under the heightened alert level, military personnel are replacing police officers guarding key places and big events around the country, in an emergency plan called Operation Temperer.

Up to 3,800 military personnel were deployed on Britain’s streets. Armed officers were stationed at key locations, including Buckingham Palace and Downing Street and Westminster, where Britain’s Parliament sits. Parliament was closed to visitors and all tours, events and banquets were canceled, a spokesman said.

Meanwhile more information regarding terrorist Salman Abedi is now public.

He’s a 2nd generation Libyan born in the UK. His parents had come to the UK to escape Gaddafi.

Abedi grew up in a Muslim household with two brothers and a sister.

Attended the Manchester Islamic Centre.

A university dropout.

The father, Ramadan Abedi, started with the LIFG group and then became affiliated with the Salafi Jihadi movement which has strong ties with Al Qaeda and ISIS through Salafi group leader Anas al-Libi – a friend and cohort of Usama bin Laden.

Oh really? Where have we heard that before?

One brother by the name of Hesham, still living in the Manchester area, has been arrested by police on suspicion of ties to ISIS and was aware of the details of the terrorist attack.

Multiple residences have been searched.

Authorities now believe Salman Abedi took at least one trip to Syria and his multiple trips to Libya are highly suspicious.

The Abedi family lived for over a decade in the Manchester area of Whalley Range.

The neighborhood is known to be home to a number of former LIFG members living in exile, including Abd al-Baset Azzouz – an expert bomb-maker who left Manchester to run a terrorist network in eastern Libya overseen by Ayman al-Zawahiri, Usama bin Laden’s successor as leader of Al Qaeda. Media in the United Kingdom reported in 2014 that Azzouz had 200 to 300 militants under his control.

UK authorities have six in custody at this time.

I don’t know about you, but I’d say red flags are flying big time on all of this. Particularly since Abadi’s father Ramadan and other brother Ismail have now been detained for questioning by Libyan authorities.

Meanwhile the search for the bomb-maker and the rest of the network continues.

In other words, the bomb was made by someone else more “talented” than Salman Abedi. Was the family a part of a larger network? All questions that need to be answered and soon before another terrorist attack takes place.

All of UK remains on high alert while authorities continue their investigation.

Meanwhile, the families of the victims mourn and the injured fight to recover.

Please keep them all in your prayers and stay alert.

Was the family a part of a larger network?

Yes. That network is called “Islam”. At least the fundamentalist version.
