Justice keeps coming: second SEAL cleared

Two down now, one to go.

A U.S. military judge has cleared a Navy SEAL of wrongdoing in the alleged beating of a prisoner suspected of masterminding the grisly 2004 killings of four American contractors in Iraq.

The military says the judge found insufficient evidence to convict Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe on charges of dereliction of duty.

Keefe — one of three SEALS charged in the case — was not accused of assaulting Ahmed Hashim Abed but of failing to prevent the abuse.

So now, Matthew McCabe is the only SEAL left. Hopefully, justice finds him as well.

What I’m curious about is this. In both Huertas’ and Keefe’s trials, the charges were dismissed based on lack of evidence.

If there was no evidence to prove the abuse happened, then why was there ever a trial to begin with?

Meanwhile, Blackfive has some interesting updates in this case. Firstly, he’s hearing that Abed — the murderer that the SEALS are accused of “abusing” and suspected mastermind of the Blackwater murders — has been tried and convicted in Iraq of the murders of innocent Iraqis. He’s allegedly been sentenced to death.

Jeez, I hope no one gives him a fat lip before his death sentence is carried out!! Thank goodness our military was willing to protect this sweet, innocent little terrorist.

Second, Blackfive is also reporting that McCabe’s lawyer has filed for the charges to be dismissed based on a lack of evidence, saying that it would be a waste of taxpayer money.

Hopefully, they’re successful.

I also hope the SEALS — and the rest of our troops — know that Americans were furious and outraged over this debacle, and that we stand behind them, and not lying murderous terrorist scumbags like some of our new, politically correct military leaders apparently do.
