John McCain Issues Transgender Military Statement

Senator John McCain (RINO-AZ) in his role as Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) has issued a statement on President Donald Trump’s tweeted ban on transgender military personnel. The McCain Transgender statement is available on McCain’s government website. Here is a portion of the text:

The statement was unclear. The Department of Defense has already decided to allow currently-serving transgender individuals to stay in the military, and many are serving honorably today. Any American who meets current medical and readiness standards should be allowed to continue serving. There is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train, and deploy to leave the military—regardless of their gender identity. We should all be guided by the principle that any American who wants to serve our country and is able to meet the standards should have the opportunity to do so—and should be treated as the patriots they are.

John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee

McCain being the RINO that he is and like many human beings walking the planet accepts the idea of Transgender people as truth on face value. Whereas, we on the right are considered ignorant and anti-science. Before I address the issue of the military, I must address science.

I want to stand on a mountain top and scream, “Boys cannot become girls. Girls cannot become boys.” There is this science thing called DNA. At this point in our scientific capabilities, one cannot change one’s DNA. End of discussion.”

The Dictionary.com explanation of DNA.

Genetics. deoxyribonucleic acid: an extremely long macromolecule that is the main component of chromosomes and is the material that transfers genetic characteristics in all life forms, constructed of two nucleotide strands coiled around each other in a ladderlike arrangement with the sidepieces composed of alternating phosphate and deoxyribose units and the rungs composed of the purine and pyrimidine bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine: the genetic information of DNA is encoded in the sequence of the bases and is transcribed as the strands unwind and replicate.
Compare base pair, gene, genetic code, RNA.

“Main component of chromosomes” and “transfers genetic characteristics” are both really heavy science stuff. Those phrases mean that DNA defines who and what you are. Are there people whose chromosomes define them as intersexual or of mixed sexual identity. Yes. There are geneticists who study this, such as Eric Vilain. That is a whole different discussion. This is about people who don’t identify with their body and want to change it to feel more comfortable. You know, Bruce Jenner.

Now, Bruce can have surgery to remove his penis and Bruce can take hormones to grow breasts and slow his facial hair growth. Bruce can call himself Caitlyn, but Bruce is still a man. Bruce is not transgendered. Bruce is confused.

You have a right to live your life to your individual calling. You can decide you are a frog, live in a pond and eat flies. You do NOT have a right to be in the United States Military. According to Business Insider, seventy-one percent of the 17 to 34 population would fail to qualify for military service. And, they can “retire” you for a ton of reasons if you are not considered deployable. Develop asthma, diabetes or any number of conditions that require constant medication and NO service for you. ADHD and autism will disqualify you from military service and yet some of the people diagnosed with these conditions could make significant contributions to our nation’s defense.

This is not to say that individuals with confused gender identity are not patriotic or contributing to the national defense.

A woman who currently lives as a man and is married to a man who lives as a woman, both serve, issued a challenge to President Trump. From the Air Force Times:

“I would like to see them try to kick me out of my military,” Staff Sgt. Logan Ireland said in an interview with Air Force Times. “You are not going to deny me my right to serve my country when I am fully qualified and able and willing to give my life.”

Sorry, ma’am, it’s not your military. It’s not John McCain’s military. It’s not my military. It’s our nation’s military. All that matters is the defense of the United States of America. Your individual feelings are worthless. John McCain’s transgender military statement is meaningless because it doesn’t deal with truth or science.

That is all. Carry on.

Mr McCain, thank you for your service, no please retire and spend time with your family.

Senator, thank you for your service. I too am a veteran (24 years). I strongly urge you to get more opinions on treatment for your condition. I was told twice that my brain tumor could not be removed. Dr Allan Friedman of Duke Medical Center removed it a few months ago. They have a unit at Duke: the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. They are at the forefront of treatments for brain tumors there; always doing clinical trials. Please think seriously about seeking treatment at Duke. At Duke there is hope. Good luck and God bless you.
