It’s just pure evil. A first grade classroom at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut was targeted around 9:30 am this morning and most of those killed were kids. The gunman now dead, was 24 year old Ryan Lanza, 20 year old Adam Lanza, wore a bullet proof vest and carried 4 guns. His mom worked there and she’s among the 27 dead. The situation is still fluid. Exactly what transpired and how he got into the school with all those guns, is still one of the unknowns.

This from a Facebook friend, Nick Palmisciano of Ranger Up, sums it up for me:

“People are already offering up solutions to this tragedy. There isn’t one. Evil people exist. They always will. Some people are simply born broken. They want to rape, kill, hurt, whatever. You can prepare for them, look out for them, and do your best to be vigilant, but you can’t legislate them or counsel them to not be broken.”

UPDATE: Apparently, the gunman was 20 year old Adam Lanza, the younger brother of Ryan Lanza. Ryan Lanza is NOT a suspect. Law enforcement initially said the shooter was 24-year-old Ryan Lanza, however Fox News said the shooter is Ryan Lanza’s brother, Adam Lanza.

Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother dead and targeted her kindergarten class at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., sources sais. Sources also told The Post that Lanza’s mother was a teacher at the school and he “had a dispute with her.”

Police in Hoboken, NJ are questioning Lanza’s older brother Ryan, 24, but again, he is not a suspect.

Twenty children are among the dead.
