Hypocrites: 26 Dems That Held House Hostage Over Gun Control Own Firearms

by Jodi Giddings on June 28, 2016

You may recall the staged sit-in by the increasingly authoritarian Old Hippies-now-Democrats last week in an attempt to force a House vote on firearms control, not to mention the annihilation of due process in America. It looked like this:

…and sounded much like this fear-mongering leftist parrot:

Sigh. At least she’s a respectful “Socialist Worker.” And the “Vote Leaves” are the ignorant ones, or so I hear. But I digress…

Now, I’m guessing we’re all aware of the countless cases of flagrant, and daily, hypocrisy coming from the Democrat side of the political spectrum, where everything is fair game for regulation, save the sacred “right” of abortion, where regulation is, of course, an infringement on a woman’s right to choose. And gun control is no exception. Why? Well, seems at least twenty-six of the several dozen regulation-happy Democrats, who violated House rules during their obvious political stunt, mind you, are—wait for it—firearms owners themselves. From Matt Vespa over at TownHall:

So, gun control was back in the spotlight, with Democrats fundraising off the victims in their effort to curb American civil rights. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) fired the first salvo in the Senate, holding up a Department of Justice spending bill so the chamber could vote on gun control amendments. Senate Republicans relented, allowed a vote on increasing background checks and keeping those on terror watch lists from buying guns, and both of them failed along party lines. In the House, 26 Democrats occupied the floor to pressure Speaker Paul Ryan to hold a vote. That failed too. Yet, here’s an interesting fact—all 26 House Democrats who put on that clown show are gun owners (via Heat Street)…

Way. While the Democrats continue to call for the prohibition of scary black “machine guns” for you and I—and shamelessly fund-raise off yet another Islamic terrorist attack on our nation that left forty-nine Americans dead—they’re more than happy to assert their Second Amendment right just like the sanctimonious jackasses they are. In case you missed it, here’s the list of Hypocrites R’ Us from last week’s catered sit-in complete with armed security and potty breaks:

  • Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick
  • Rep. Bennie Thompson
  • Rep. Dina Titus
  • Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger
  • Rep. Jared Huffman
  • Rep. Jim Cooper
  • Rep. Jim Costa
  • Rep. John Carney
  • Rep. John Garamendi
  • Rep. Keith Ellison
  • Rep. Mike Thompson
  • Rep. Peter DeFazio
  • Rep. Peter Welch
  • Rep. Rick Nolan
  • Rep. Ron Kind
  • Rep. Steve Cohen
  • Rep. Tim Ryan
  • Sen. Gary Peters
  • Sen. Harry Reid
  • Sen. Mark Warner
  • Sen. Martin Heinrich
  • Sen. Patrick Leahy
  • Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse
  • Sen. Tammy Baldwin
  • Sen. Tim Kaine
  • Sen. Tom Carper

Twelve other courageous sitters-in refused to answer Heat Street’s survey on whether or not they own firearms. I’ll take that as a “yes,” thank you very much, or at the very least an unwillingness to foolishly out their own homes as Gun Free Zones.

Recognize anyone? If so, I suggest you work to remove his or her useless posterior from the seat that belongs not to them, but to you and your neighbors this election season. By the way, after promising to stay until Hades froze over, Democrat reps, having quickly realized that the Fourth of July holiday was fast-approaching, scurried off the next day like the cowardly cockroaches they are to celebrate our Independence Day. Anyone else find that ironic? And here’s another scandal you won’t find the Democrats standing, er, sitting against, given their seemingly utter lack of anything resembling genuine concern for the safety of American citizens, and their perpetual shielding of the corrupt Obama Administration:

Of course they did. Obama’s administration excels at supplying guns, directly or otherwise, to people that want to kill us.

What’s my point? It’s far past time we stop asking our wannabe authoritarian overseers for permission to assert our constitutionally guaranteed rights. This week’s Exhibit A:

Your move, Missouri. Will you remind Governor Nixon that he’s not the dispenser of your rights and insist your legislators follow suit? Because it’s time for a UK-style Brexit from Big Government Knows Best and everything it stands for. And I’m even betting the “Vote Leaves” can articulate exactly why. And if we had a stellar candidate on the right side of the aisle, come November we’d witness a tidal wave that would sweep Hillary Clinton and her globalist pipe dreams, along with her gun-grabbing palms, into the watery beyond via a massive, swirling riptide. But the reality is this: November promises either a Donald Trump presidency peppered with uncertainty, or the hammering of the final nail into the coffin of America’s fundamental transformation that Barack Obama built. I fear it’s the latter, and with that impending threat, coupled with the continued appeasement of those who wish us all dead

No. They aren’t asserting their 2d Amendment rights at all. They are asserting their political aristocracy privileges. They would still retain their firearms even if they could repeal the 2d Amendment. See, they are different. They are special.

I’m willing to hand over my bullets. One at a time. They’re not getting the brass, though.

lol! Nope – I gotcha. And you’re right. They are the privileged; we are the subjects.

And definitely re-use that brass.
