Hillary Clinton has finally turned over her private server to the FBI. Did she just have a change of heart and decide it was the right thing do? Not exactly. The Inspectors General have found that contrary to Hillary’s assertions, there was classified information in her emails. In fact, they found Top Secret information, the highest classification available, in the very small sample of 40 emails they have inspected.

The State Department [said] that “there are potentially hundreds of classified emails within the approximately 30,000 provided by former Secretary Clinton.”

The 30,000 work-related emails total 55,000 pages in hard copy, which may be all there is left to examine. Hillary claims that the server has been wiped clean, because, of course, that would be the prudent thing to do to maintain proper security. (There is some conflicting information about what has been wiped from the server. CNN reports that the server was wiped only of personal emails). Further, it’s been “a long time” that she’s held the information. Anything could’ve happened by now. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, concurs:

“That’s a long time for top secret classified information to be held by an unauthorized person outside of an approved, secure government facility,” he said in a statement.

Classified information was sent to six people’s private emails.

Clinton and her aides sent information that would later be classified to six people’s private email addresses. They include former Deputy Secretary of State Bill Burns; Cheryl Mills, who was Clinton’s chief of staff at the State Department; and Jake Sullivan, who served as Clinton’s top foreign policy adviser. Clinton also emailed information that would later be classified to close confidant Sidney Blumenthal, whose communications with Clinton about Libya have become a focus of the House committee investigating the 2012 Benghazi attacks.

The finding of the Top Secret emails has now forced Hillary’s hand. To avoid looking absurdly uncooperative, instead of just substantially uncooperative, she has directed her staff to turn over the server, and also a thumb drive containing digital copies of her emails. Previously she had only turned over hard copies of those emails. Now who’s the environmentally insensitive one? She could have turned over the digital copies months ago, which would have allowed for efficient search capabilities, not to mention saved a lot of trees. They probably didn’t even print on both sides of the paper!

But the most sensational news to come out of the latest revelations is there is a possibility that the Top Secret classification markings may have been illegally removed from the documents by Hillary or someone on her team. If this was done, it is a felony. This allegation is reportedly emanating from the State Department. On the Kelly File, Megyn Kelly and Judge Napolitano discussed this scenario.

Hillary supporters have predictably pooh-poohed the idea that there is any there there. But they fail to grasp the gravity of the situation – General Petraeus was convicted for less egregious behavior. The blatant scofflaw attitude exhibited by Hillary does not create an image that aligns with qualities desired in the Leader of the Free World, though it does align nicely with the dictatorship on display in the current White House. Hillary is in damage control mode and sent this out her followers on Wednesday to try to get the facts “out there” and counter the “misinformation.”

Despite the private server not being specifically prohibited by law, there is no other reason to have this configuration except in order to avoid application of the law! The setting up of the private server is extraordinarily out of line and does not comport with protocol. It undoubtedly demonstrates that Hillary intended to avoid oversight and scrutiny – she was thinking ahead four years to her current presidential run, and she did not want any potential correspondence to be used against her in her quest for the Oval Office. What she may have miscalculated though is that unlike all of the other Clinton scandals which the Hill-Billy dynamic-duo have managed to survive, this one may indeed be gaining steam. Instead of eventually blowing over like the rest, this one may blow up.
