Gloria Steinem Says Women Want to Vote for Bernie Sanders Because “It’s Where The Boys Are”

In the wake of Bernie Sanders gaining momentum amongst young Democrat voters, Gloria Steinem sounded off on the phenomenon last night on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher”.

Shall we rewind? I had to because I couldn’t quite believe what I just heard.

“When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie. Women get more radical as we get older…. I don’t mean to overgeneralize, I’m sure that you got more radical, but men tend to get more conservative because they gain power as they age and women get more radical because they lose power as they age.”

(Cue in mindless audience claps).

Steinem also touched on Sharia law and the treatment of Muslim women citing “monotheism” as the problem.

The irony of Steinem’s musings that young women are “not yet” activists is rich. The fact that she states that women lose power with age (which makes them more radical) is even more ironic. Do women lose power? Do we lose power with age and wisdom and life experience? I think not. I mean seriously, what the heck was that jibberish and please tell me again how this woman is relevant?

Perhaps Steinem was trying to make a statement about how young women should not “follow the boys” and cast their votes based on common anatomy. Which, by the way, seems to be the criteria on which some women are basing their vote. Hillary Clinton is clearly Steinem’s candidate of choice. And Steinem has her own theory about why women oppose her:

“There are a lot of theories out there about the very real resistance to Clinton among women who, on the demographic surface, should be her base. This, however, is the first time I’ve seen it suggested that they wish their husbands would be more like Bill Clinton.
And what about those women who condemned Clinton for remaining with a husband who humiliated her? It turned out that many of them had suffered a faithless husband, too, but lacked the ability or the will to leave. They wanted Hillary to punish a powerful man in public on their behalf.”

So, young women are too immature to be activists and too boy-crazy to care and the rest of the women who don’t see Hillary Clinton as a viable candidate are all insecure little wallflowers in fear of their husbands leaving them. Neither of these two types of women are “true feminists” in the eyes of a delusional Gloria Steinem.

So, all you young ladies who are nuts about Bernie-go find those boys. You know the ones. The ones with the flannels and beards who never once fired a shotgun or chopped down a tree with a chainsaw? He may be living in mom’s basement now…but I promise you-Pajama Boy will make a great catch one day and once you all decide to marry, Uncle Bernie will have plenty of hand outs for you both. But you know, boys will be boys and when your Bernie Boy decides that he needs a new toy to play with, you, too could be the jaded insecure woman feminist icon Gloria Steinem thinks you are-in fear of your boy running out on you.

Here’s a thought: quit chasing boys. Find a MAN. Real men don’t expect hand outs and real men don’t cheat on their spouses. Just saying. Real women develop their own political ideals that are not based on finding a man or the candidate having the same anatomy as us. It’s called using our God-given brains to make important decisions. That’s empowerment. Millenial feminists, how’s that working out for you?

Well, I don’t know if some women lose power as they age. But I do know that some lose their marbles-Steinem, Maddy Allbright and Madame Mao being proof of that.

True enough. Not sure they had all of their marbles in the first place, though!
