Gay Actress Attempts to Debate Ted Cruz

On Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz was grilling some pork at the Iowa State Fair prior to his keynote appearance at the Religious Liberty Rally when he was approached by actress Ellen Page (Juno, Inception), who challenged him on gay rights issues.

It appears that the gay Canadian actress has carried some animosity towards the Texas senator for some time now:

And this classy Twitter comment:

Oh, Ellen. Bless your heart. Did anyone tell you how futile it would be to take on Ted Cruz, who graduated from Harvard Law School with high honors, has authored over 80 Supreme Court briefs, and has argued nine times before the Supreme Court?

But no matter. As a lesbian actress, she was determined to push the LGBT talking points, even though Cruz deftly turned the tables on her.

What’s ironic is that the senator had no idea with whom he was debating. He was respectful of her and didn’t even recognize her. How will the Left spin the “conservative hater” yarn?

The actress kept up the drumbeat about gay persecution in the United States, despite the fact that the transgendered athlete Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner just received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award from ESPN for transitioning from Bruce to Caitlyn; that the TV program Modern Family, which features a male gay couple, is wildly popular; and that Page herself is worth a cool $14 million.

Please, Ms. Page, tell me again how gay people continue to be persecuted in this country, especially when you have a net worth that would dwarf those of the small-business owners at the Religious Liberty Rally who stood up for their religious faith in the face of LGBT bullies?

She could always go back to Canada. Curious to know if she is even eligible to vote here.

Natasha Richardson died due to Canadian medical care. In the U.S., after head trauma, a head CT is standard of care. Under the Canadian Single Payor system, to save on costs, a head CT, and a lot of other tests and procedures that are standard in the U.S., aren’t done. Guess that Ms. Page forgot about that ( or never has known).

Yeah, but FREE. You know. Who can say no to free.

      • Wfjag says:

“Free” just means you pay a different way. With “free health care” you pay with substandard care. But, you’re right, when you’re dead, you can’t say “No”.
