Comey Edits Show Hillary Clinton Statement Significantly Watered Down With #Strzok’s Help [VIDEO]

While many are continuing their epic meltdown ON.THE.INTERNET. regarding the repeal of Net Neutrality, they’ve missed the latest news regarding the multiple edits James Comey made to his statement to Congress regarding Hillary’s ‘gross negligence’ use of illicit servers.

Newly released documents obtained by Fox News reveal that then-FBI Director James Comey’s draft statement on the Hillary Clinton email probe was edited numerous times before his public announcement, in ways that seemed to water down the bureau’s findings considerably.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, sent a letter to the FBI on Thursday that shows the multiple edits to Comey’s highly scrutinized statement.

In an early draft, Comey said it was “reasonably likely” that “hostile actors” gained access to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email account. That was changed later to say the scenario was merely “possible.”

Another edit showed language was changed to describe the actions of Clinton and her colleagues as “extremely careless” as opposed to “grossly negligent.” This is a key legal distinction.

As is being pointed out, there would’ve been serious legal ramifications for Hillary IF the language had stayed in the original. In fact, specific references to violations of statutes of ‘gross negligence’ and ‘misdemeanor handling’ were removed along with references to the ‘sheer volume of classified information’ discussed in the emails. And that’s not all.

Let’s think about this for a second, shall we? James Comey gave a press conference in early July regarding Hillary, that basically said there was no There There regarding Hillary Clinton, her servers and emails.

Yet the information contained in the letter Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent to Christopher Wray at the FBI (which you can find at this link), shows how extensive the edits really were.

In fact, Comey, with the help of Peter Strzok, totally dumbed down the language of his statement and in fact had drafted it MONTHS before he interviewed her! WHY?

Well, we know that Strzok was definitely a Hillary fan, as the release of his text messages with his lover show. Never mind that Benjamin Wittes is rabidly defending his pals Comey and Rosenstein. And never mind the fact that people are saying that the text messages between Strzok and Page that were made on GOVERNMENT property (FBI issued phones) should still remain private. Considering that Strzok sent the cryptic text regarding the meeting with Andrew McCabe just before he was handpicked to investigate the Russia/Trump Collusion! idiocy is and should be very concerning.

Wittes can defend his pals all he wants. And expectation of privacy on government issued phones considering the security clearances Strzok and Page had? Yeah no. Sucks to be them.

Via Legal Insurrection we have the link to the actual statement Comey released on July 5th. Compare it to the edits. It’s highly illuminating!

Keep in mind that we, along with Legal Insurrection’s William Jacobsen, pointed out the same thing. The decision to charge Hillary did and DOES NOT rest with the FBI. Instead it was up to the Department of Justice to decide that.

HOWEVER, who was part of the investigation at that time? Oh EM GEE… a guy named Peter Strzok. The same damned guy who helped Comey edit and therefore turn a very damning statement regarding the criminality of Hillary’s actions into a ‘nothing to see here folks, move along!’ scenario.

Something stunk to high heaven back in July 2016 and it still stinks now. The investigators DO need to be investigated. But the only way to do so is to bring in people from way outside the wire and turn them loose. Otherwise any subsequent investigation that involves folks who’ve been with the FBI or DOJ still risks being tainted.

Coming back from a very pleasant ACW re-enacting weekend to Comet’s statement was a downer, but not unexpected. Finding out that major skullduggery was afoot in the unelected part of our government is also not unexepected. Do I think that any of the actors in this farce are going to do the perp walk? Sadly, no.
