Clinton Ally Governor McAuliffe’s PAC Donated To Wife Of FBI Official [VIDEO]

Gosh darn it, those Democrats are just like a small town community! You just go to meet a random candidate to try and talk her into running for office, and you just happen to discover that her husband is the deputy director of the FBI! I mean, how was Terry McAuliffe, Democrat governor of Virginia, supposed to know that! It’s just like discovering that your dentist is the cousin of your college roommate! Small world, right? What are the odds???

Hmm, my sarcasm meter seems to be broken again.

You see, Terry McAuliffe’s PAC just happened to donate a large sum of money to Dr. Jill McCabe when she ran for the Virginia state senate in 2015. A lot of money. And then she got even more money from the Virginia Democratic Party.

Campaign finance records show Mr. McAuliffe’s political-action committee donated $467,500 to the 2015 state Senate campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe, who is married to Andrew McCabe, now the deputy director of the FBI.

The Virginia Democratic Party, over which Mr. McAuliffe exerts considerable control, donated an additional $207,788 worth of support to Dr. McCabe’s campaign in the form of mailers, according to the records. That adds up to slightly more than $675,000 to her candidacy from entities either directly under Mr. McAuliffe’s control or strongly influenced by him. The figure represents more than a third of all the campaign funds Dr. McCabe raised in the effort.

Mr. McAuliffe and other state party leaders recruited Dr. McCabe to run, according to party officials. She lost the election to incumbent Republican Dick Black.

That is an amazing amount of money to be tossing at a political neophyte for a state senate run. It couldn’t possibly have any relation to her husband’s FBI connections, could it? The FBI says nooooo, of course not!

The FBI said in a statement that during his wife’s campaign Mr. McCabe “played no role, attended no events, and did not participate in fundraising or support of any kind. Months after the completion of her campaign, then-Associate Deputy Director McCabe was promoted to Deputy, where, in that position, he assumed for the first time, an oversight role in the investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails.”

FBI officials said that after that meeting with the governor in Richmond on March 7, Mr. McCabe sought ethics advice from the bureau and followed it, avoiding involvement with public corruption cases in Virginia, and avoiding any campaign activity or events.

Mr. McCabe’s supervision of the Clinton email case in 2016 wasn’t seen as a conflict or an ethics issue because his wife’s campaign was over by then and Mr. McAuliffe wasn’t part of the email probe, officials said.

The problem is, of course, we now have an FBI that has turned a blind eye to real corruption on the part of Hillary Clinton, and how do we know that McAuliffe wasn’t hoping to sway Mr. McCabe by donating to his wife? After all, it seems a very Clintonian thing to do. And if the shoe were on the other foot, and everyone involved had an (R) after their name in the media, you know the story would be all over the place.

Regardless, McAuliffe has had campaign finance problems hanging over him since May of this year, when an FBI investigation began into him taking campaign contributions from a Chinese businessman – who just also happened to donate to the Clinton Foundation.

Hmmm, the Clintons and Chinese money. I seem to remember hearing this story a long time ago. Same song, second verse?

If Hillary Clinton is elected president, a whole new generation is going to be introduced to her happy little bunch of friends like Terry McAuliffe and Sid Blumenthal all over again… and the sequel won’t look any better than the first edition did. Recalling these scandals from Bill Clinton’s eight years in office should be a wake-up call to everyone. The Clintons have only gotten better, smarter, and slicker on how they put themselves first, and make as much money as possible while doing it.
