American journalist James Foley was beheaded by ISIS in a gruesome video released online. Foley was just one hostage, though — multiple Americans are alleged to be held by ISIS, including Steven Sotloff. Sotloff was featured at the end of the video in which Foley was beheaded, and the jihadists threatened that Sotloff would be next.
Now, it appears that they have made good on that threat. A video of Steven Sotloff being beheaded by ISIS has allegedly hit the internet.

American hostage Steven Sotloff has reportedly been executed by jihadist terrorists. There was no immediate confirmation of the video.
Sotloff, 31, disappeared while reporting in Syria in August 2013. His apparent kidnap was not widely reported until he appeared on a video released last month by the Isil.
In the footage a masked militant beheads US reporter James Foley then parades Mr Sotloff, warning he will meet the same fate unless US President Barack Obama ends air strikes against the group in Iraq.
We knew that Sotloff’s life was in danger, just as we knew that Foley’s life was in danger. Obama and his administration did nothing — and recently, Obama stood up and announced, for the whole world to hear, that he had no strategy to deal with ISIS. And because we have a weak, pitiful excuse for a president, another American’s life was lost.
Meanwhile, the terrorists have named their next victim, British journalist David Haines, in an attempt to scare Britain out of continuing to ally themselves with the United States.

UPDATE: TIME Magazine has released a statement on the death of Steven Sotloff:
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by reports of Steven Sotloff’s death,” TIME editor Nancy Gibbs said in a statement. “Steven was a valued contributor to TIME and other news organizations, and he gave his life so readers would have access to information from some of the most dangerous places in the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
UK Prime Minister David Cameron has also spoken about Sotloff’s murder, calling it “despicable and barbaric”. He also announced that he will chair a meeting of the Government’s Cobra emergency committee tomorrow — which is more decisive action than our own president has taken so far.
Kim Quade says: Obama is so surprised; he heard about it on the news, because his intelligence reports were buried beneath his gold manuals and glossy photos of Beyonce.
ROS says: I’m fairly certain those glossys are of him, just wearing a Bey wig.
Also of note, I really don’t care about the political leanings of Sotloff; he was an American. @ChuckCJohnson on Twitter seems to think that warrants his death, however. I’m afraid that mentality makes me violent.
