Hey everyone! I’m interrupting your regularly scheduled blogging to bring you some big news in the life of Cassy. So, get ready… drumroll please…
Matt proposed to me last night!
We went out to eat last night, and in the beginning of the meal, he got down on one knee right there in front of everyone and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked — in fact, I couldn’t breathe — and of course I said yes and cried. It was amazing, the perfect proposal, and I couldn’t ask for a better fiancee. I feel so happy and lucky to be marrying the love of my life and my best friend to boot!
There are no wedding details yet, considering his upcoming deployment to Afghanistan, but I wanted to share my news with all of you, my readers, who have become such a big part of my life.
Now, will I keep my blog under my maiden name, or will I change it to my married name? Stay tuned… 😉
Congratulations and Blessings to you both!!!
Well it’s about time!!!!
j/k!!
As a man who has been married 20 years, I wish you that and many blessed more to you both!
Congratulations!! Being married to your best friend is the best thing ever! Take care of each other. And don’t ever stop being best friends and boyfriend/girlfriend. I’ve been married to my best friend/boyfriend for over 11 happy years.
Congratulations to you both!
Congrats Cassy! I have been with the love of my life for 22 years now and cannot express how much better life is with a permanent partner. Best of luck and “Lang May Your Lum Neek”.
Ditto to others. Being married to your best friend is awesome, been married to mine for 34 years this year.
Best wishes to you both!
Congrats!

Yes, congratulations. Sounds like quite a night.
Congrats Cassy, a Marine Corps wedding. It doesn’t get any better than that aye?
Hey, congratulations!
I’m really happy for you both although, being British and male, I have to pretend not to understand romance.
So…erm…Matt now has someone who’s obliged to bring him beers and those American things called ‘hot-dogs’ while he’s watching the ‘base-ball-game’? Jolly good show, that woman. And about time. Spiffing good, what!
Congrads!
Wow, congrats hon. Lucky guy…..grumble gruble whimmper whimmper.
What? Damnit. Another fine conservative woman walks the plank.
I guess I can begrudgingly mumble a congratulations Cassy.
Best wishes as you embark on many years of happiness.
Congradulations! ! ! !
It has to be a Marine Corps wedding.
Congratulations, Cassy and Matt. Wishing that this will be the first of many, many happy years together!
Congratulations to you both!
