Barack Obama “Interviewed” by Trevor Noah

Trevor Noah “interviewed” outgoing President Barack Obama in the White House for Comedy Central. For those who prefer their news with real news in it, Trevor Noah took over the The Daily Show on Comedy Central for the snide and mocking Jon Stewart. There are so many stretched assertiions and flat out lies this makes my hair hurt. Watch it if you have a strong stomach or a bottle of Pepto-Bismol nearby.

Starting with the Russians hacking Hillary’s and the DNC’s emails, the “fake news” flies. Obama only speaks English. He has no foreign language skills. Sarcasm is clearly beyond him. The Clinton and DNC emails had already been released when President-elect made a actually funny joke. Remember:

If the information was already released, then that means that it had been hacked or leaked a bit before Mr. Trump made the joke.

Trevor Noah, next, asserts that Donald Trump is refusing daily intelligence briefing and Barack Obama goes right along. First of all, who knows whether the intelligence briefings that Donald Trump is getting through the Obama administration. I know I wouldn’t put any stock in anything they gave me. Talk about your fake news.

For Barack Obama to lecture anyone about the daily intelligence briefings is rich. Newsmax reported in 2012 that Barack Obama had attended less than 44% of his briefings. He probably gives a glance to the digital version delivered on his Ipad, in between planning golf outings and sneaking a smoke.

The Atlantic has an article that takes this “interview” in the most earnest way. The article takes a “death-watch” attitude about the Obama-Noah interview:

The rest of the conversation was similarly glum and focused on the present. Rather than merely championing the benefits of healthcare reform, the president turned to the camera and urged people to sign up, assuring them that they will get at the very least one year of coverage before whatever happens next. The implicit threat of a Trump presidency to the work of the Obama administration lurked in every exchange on the segment, from healthcare to climate change policies to general respect for the country’s intelligence agencies.

Perhaps Noah’s most pressing question about what happens next is what Obama will do as a private citizen, but it’s the thing that remains most elusive (he’s promised himself a vacation, but little else). There’s plenty to parse, though, from Obama’s even-handed attitude throughout the interview, especially when Noah asked him about his approach to speaking about issues of systemic racism without “alienating” people. Obama’s conviction in the power of clear, empathetic communication remains resolute, even after an electoral campaign that failed at times in that regard.

You can almost hear the clock ticking down the moments left in the Obama Regency. But, The Atlantic is wrong. In this interview, Barack Obama threatens that he is never going away. If anything Donald Trump does threatens “our values”, Barack Obama will speak up.

Barack Obama is going to continue to undermine the Trump Administration. Just as he is undermining the Electoral College and the will of the people now. For the rest of our lives. Not that I needed to see a lovefest/interview by Trevor Noah to know this. The Clinton’s and the Obama’s are never going away. The legacy media and swooning snowflakes will see to it.

His Obamaness has “promised himself a vacation?!?!?!” He’s been on one for close to eight years!! And whenever I hear the word “legacy,” as in the legacy media or His Obamaness’ legacy, Flounder in Animal House always come to mind. MAGA!!

The only Obama “legacy” I’m looking forward to is a two-legged one (from which I coined his nickname “Ozymandias-on-the-Potomac”) —-

To trunkless legs of stone amidst the swirling sands of time.

Gee, Mr. President, Sir, how do you maintain such humility and graciousness in light of the splendiferous wonderfulness and greatness of yourself and the unwarranted, racist attacks against your racially conciliatory record? Wow, it sure must be difficult.

Pardon me a moment as I work against the suction to pry my lips from your backside

  • Kate says:

    Please just go away,

  • Toni says:

    Oh, Kate

You know Obama is going to hang. What else does he have to do?
