The Call of Inevitability

The Call of Inevitability

It is 0430.  My house is silent except for the soft breathing of the German Shepherd at my feet.  I have headphones on, and inside my head the epic instrumental song “Heroes,” by Michael W. Smith, is filling my heart with the joy that only someone who truly loves music can understand.   In the midst of the piano and the swelling strings, I realize that this—the simple pleasure of being a homeowner, sitting in my house early in the morning, secure and safe—is just one more thing that I am very close to losing.  As the instruments swirl around me, I am suddenly filled again with a deep sadness…and a knowing.  The weight of that knowing is nearly crushing. It is the knowledge of inevitability.

You know it too, don’t you?  We talk about Congressional business, we get angry about this vote and that vote.  We yell at the TV and we blog and we tweet and we talk about 2016 like it will come.  But deep down, in the dark place we all have to ourselves, we know better.  The idea of a conservative President in 2016 is a pipe dream.  In fact, those of us who are paying attention already know what so many refuse to believe:

Our nation will not survive this administration.

In 2005, Obama promised that his goal was “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  He told us that “My legacy will be an America brought down to the level of the rest of the world.”  He has been telling us for years what his plans for America are.  He has no intention of leaving that office until the destruction of America is complete.  So many talk of voting these people out, as if the election system is somehow still impartial.  You and I know better.  So many talk of how we need to be tolerant, bipartisan, and compromising.  You and I know that compromise is how we got here.  Erosion, little by little, of the very things that have made this country a beacon to the world for two centuries.

I am not appealing to those who still labor under the assumption that we are in a fair system, and that all we need to do is Get The Vote Out.  They are already lost.  I am not speaking to those for whom politics is a status, and fundraising luncheons are a pastime.  They are worthless.  I am not even bothering with those who think liberty means being able to light up a joint on their way to the abortion clinic.  They are clueless.

This post is for you, the ones who have fire in your hearts.  Those who cannot hear the national anthem without feeling in the bottom of their soul what Francis Scott Key felt as he looked out that morning and saw that the flag–and the nation–was still standing.  This is for all of you who cannot walk past an elderly man wearing a World War II veteran hat without stopping to shake his hand and tell him that even generations later, some of us still care about what he did for us.  This is for those of you who weep for what our country has become, and wait only for the opportunity to stand and say, “No more.”  It is for all of you who, like me, have felt the nearly overwhelming weight of knowing what is coming, and what our enemies have in store for us.  It is sobering, it is frightening.  It is everything that we do not want, and I know some of you have purposed in your hearts that you will fight alone if you must.

Know this: You are not alone.  There are many of us who see the endgame coming, and we pray desperately that violence does not come.  We want nothing more than the peace to raise our families and live in quiet liberty.  But our enemies should not confuse a love of peace with an unwillingness to engage in war.   We wish with all our hearts that this cup would pass.  But if it comes, it must be answered. We have no other choice but slavery, and I would rather give my life this second than live as a slave to a king.

I call upon those who feel as I do, that our nation’s ideals are worth any sacrifice.  I ask you to continue to be ready, to be willing to stand in the fire and fight.  I know that you may be afraid, you may wonder if the sacrifice is worth it.  But I ask you to remember the American boys who stepped out of landing crafts in the shallows at Normandy; the ones who looked out the jump door of their plane to the madness below and jumped anyway.  I ask you to remember that those same men are being arrested today for simply wanting to view the memorial that stands in their honor.  How can we allow this?  How can we tell them that their sacrifice was worth so little that even before the end of their lifetime, they are nothing to us but criminals jumping a barricade?  We owe them so much more.  We owe them the lives we have enjoyed.  We owe our fallen dead the greatest of respect and honor, and yet our government spits in their faces.  There are things that We the People cannot tolerate.  We have tolerated far too much already.

We are about to enter something that we do not want.  We are about to find ourselves in the darkest, most horrifying time this nation has ever known.  Paine wrote on the eve of another pivotal time in our great history, that these are the times that try men’s souls.

Let us not be found wanting. Not in the company of others who faced evil for us and won.

Thank you, Kit. That’s all I can say right now. I’m weeping.

I am not afraid and I am ready. Bring it o’buttlick!

You have read my mind, especially about feeling I am the only one.

    Wow, Kit! Just Wow!

  • Dejah Thoris says:

Did you read my post about the cleansing? You must have, because it is coming, whether anyone thinks so or not (besides us of course).

Sister, I say, Let it come, it won’t last long and the resolution will not be in doubt. There are not enough of them with the convictions of their cause to stop the tide that is rising among those that love freedom and liberty.

We will be able to right the ship and sweep up the damage before Christmas.

    Patrick Henry is my hero.

    • Jodi says:

Dejah, I hope and pray you are correct.

Give me liberty…or I will fight to the death to take it back.

    • Can you cite a source for — He told us that “My legacy will be an America brought down to the level of the rest of the world.”
I am looking and cannot yet find a specific date, event or context nor who “us” are.
I would like to know. Can you cite the source etc?

  • Eleanor in Hell says:

    Leonardo da Vinci warned…
“It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.”

    What happened?

  • F.D.R. in Hell says:

    Babs, you -know- what happened.
As Lucifer said, “Obama happened.” 👿

  • Dave says:

Good oiece, except it was Thomas Paine who wrote in the opening lines of “The American Crisis” on December 23, 1776:

“THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated. “

    • Kit Lange says:

You are so right. I knew that, too. Bah. This is what I get for writing at 0430. 😉 thanks for the correction.

  • TJ says:

I just found your site, I’m not as isolated in my thoughts and beliefs as our leaders make us out to be, lemmings, we are not. Please know that there people that want our country to prosper by the a hard work ethic we were taught 40 years ago. We HAVE to re-instate ‘for the people and by the people’ salutation our supposed leaders seemed to have long forgot. We HAVE to show our strength and not be intimidated by (what I view) not so idol threats. Thank you for your discussions.

  • GWB says:

Kit, dear, do I detect that you re-read the historical bit I linked for Jodi yesterday? I sense a line here and there. 🙂
And, yes, there are many preparing, many keeping their powder dry, many tending the flames as the darkness falls. You are not alone. *We* are not alone.

    • Kit Lange says:

I did not read it actually. But I have to now since you mentioned it. 🙂

      • GWB says:

Well, then, you can just feel a little pride that your language at 0430 was much the same as the great man, Patrick Henry, delivering one of his most famous orations.

  • Heidi says:

Another masterpiece, my dear. Truly heartbreaking.

  • Frank says:

    Historical fact:
When ever citizens lose their sense of evil, they become ruled by those who are.
History always repeats itself it seems.
    America sadly, is no different.

    • Robin says:

      Frank,

That’s why what goes by the name history now is really cultural studies or about how many times the terms oppression and colonialism can be used to generate scorn.

If people actually read the Civic Mission of the Schools reports instead of assuming it’s the civics they remember, they would see it as the poison system fueling ignorance.

If you have never read Jean-Francois Revel’s Last Exit to Utopia, you would find it’s revelations of what Marxism looks like in practice when it is not hiding to be quite revealing.

  • Pen44 says:

Kit, you have written exactly how I feel!! How a born&raised Communist got to the white house is a mystery of skulduggery that I will never understand. I was very wary of him right from the start…then I found out that his mother, grandparents and childhood “mentor”–father(?) were all Communists. For 5 years we have watched this evil man systematically, through appointment, legislation, corrupted elections, and God knows what else, quickly take America down, piece by piece.

Personally, Kit, I do not believe that we will have an election in 2016, nor do I believe that we will do much good in 2014. The fraud is too well entrenched, the takers overwhelm the providers, the career politicians are too greedy and corrupt.

And, yes, Kit, I pray, and weep as I pray, but I DO KNOW what is coming…we’ve seen it before in Russia, the Eastern European countries, China, Southeast Asia, post-colonial Africa, Central & South America, North Korea and Cuba. ALWAYS the misery, death and destruction rolls in to completely overpower and destroy everything.

My children and grandchildren have been indoctrinated in the schools….only two, a daughter and a granddaughter, have seen through it, God bless them. I will stand with the freedom loving Americans, and fight if I have to do so.

  • kevin says:

You guys have been watching too many episodes of The Walking Dead. While President Bush II was in office I was despondent and felt the country was going to hell in a hand basket. I hope I didn’t exhibit an overwhelming sense of despair like is being expressed here. I feel so bad for you guys that I’m almost thinking of voting Republican 😉

    • Kate says:

      *smacks Kevin*

    • Kit says:

Well, Kevin, if we actually get another chance to vote, you go ahead and do that. 😉

      • Kate says:

        Bwahaha!

      • kevin says:

The sad part is (and I think we’re in agreement) there are very few, if any, political leaders out there who deserve our votes. There has to be a messiah out there … yet to be discovered.

        • Jodi says:

Kevin, we have found common ground.

          • GWB says:

There is no messiah to deliver us in this world. We must fight ourslves for the freedoms and liberties we hold dear. This is the burden that God has laid on us in this time and place. We must fight – in the assembly halls, in the marketplaces, in the schools, and in the voting booth. And, if necessary, then we must fight on the plains and in the hills and in the streets.

            I will NOT submit!
(well, except for pushing the button below the comment box….. *facepalm* )

  • Eleanor in Hell says:

You sure as Hell better protect the 2nd and the 22nd Amendments.
If they fall, they’ll take the rest of Freedom’s dominoes with them.
    🙁

  • Charlotte says:

THANK YOU. Anyone who doesn’t see this isn’t paying attention.

I am so glad I am not alone.

It is coming. We all know it in our hearts.

  • Becky Hansing says:

Hi Kit, you are speaking to me…there are those who are saying “it’s all going to eventually be OK”….but In my heart, I know better. My heart is breaking every day…were my faith in a good and loving God not strong and sure, I would surely lose heart. Your piece is very well written, Kit. You’ve honed in on the very heartbeat of true patriots.

  • RD says:

It’s hard enough watching the rising storm of the latest historical surge of violent islam, but watching so many of my fellow citizens rushing to the voting polls to give away their liberties… it makes my heart sink to the bottom.

  • Somehow my question was posted as a reply to something not related. My fault. I should have submitted the following as a response to the blog entry and not as a reply.

Can you cite a source for — He told us that “My legacy will be an America brought down to the level of the rest of the world.”
I am looking and cannot yet find a specific date, event or context nor who “us” are.
I would like to know. Can you cite the source etc?

  • Call Me Mom says:

I have just come across this post while attempting to document the quotation: “My legacy will be an America brought down to the level of the rest of the world.”
    Well said Madame, well said.

  • jschlabotz says:

People such as yourself should be tried for treason. We already had the only Revolution we will ever need. Obama was legally elected twice. Therefore your comments are just as contemptible as any of your boogie men, Weather Undergrounders, Panthers, SLA, SDS, Branch Davidian, Commie Pinko subversive cult. Best of all, Hillary Clinton will win in 2016 wheeeeeeeee!
